Bark In The Park Services
Frequently asked QUESTIONS
Playgroup is a 1 hour fun social group walk with gentle friends in the park.
Playgroup is ideal for dogs with excellent social skills and good recall, as we like to let our group members play and have fun together in the park.
We do not recommend Playgroup for dogs that feel stressed by the company of other dogs or humans, or being in a park environment. It’s also important that each dog can sit and travel happily together in the car on the way to the park.
If you have an anxious or reactive dog, our positive reinforcement trainers can help! Please see our Dog Training page for more information.
We will collect and drop off your dog at your home during business hours. We generally require access between 8am to 5pm on the day of service. You can contact us to request an estimated time of arrival.
If you or someone in your household is home during the day, we will ask if you can please bring your dog outside to our team member for contactless collection/drop off.
If you are not home during the day, we recommend installing a keysafe on your property containing a key, or providing our team member with a key at the meet & greet.
Our clients’ home security is of the utmost importance to us, and we keep all keys, FOBs, codes and access details private.
We run up to 3 walking groups throughout the day organised into general timeframes. You can choose from:
Each timeframe encompasses multiple groups. We allocate the dogs into groups based on their individual personality, breed, age, size and energy levels. This takes careful planning at our end and we prefer to ensure the dogs are in the best group to suit their requirements.
Your flexibility around timing is greatly appreciated, as it helps us to factor in late booking additions/cancellations, bad weather, traffic delays, etc.
You can view each team member’s profile on our Team Members page. We will allocate your team member based on your location within our service area.
Our team members’ police checks are available on request.
Our precious passengers are transported in our vehicles complete with:
- Powerful air conditioning
- Separated areas with individual harnesses
- Regular cleaning and servicing
- Secure locking systems
- Comprehensive insurance (including special cover for canine transport).
You can be sure your fur babies are transported safely and comfortably at all times!
We operate Monday to Friday, not including public holidays.
Customer Service is available 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday, not including public holidays. Please call/SMS/email within our business hours for an immediate reply. Requests received after 4pm on weekdays will be replied to the following business day.
We do not walk entire dogs in our Playgroups over the age of 6 months, but if you have an upcoming vet appointment or are on the cusp, please still get in touch and we’ll see what we can do to help. We understand that many vets recommend the health benefits of waiting until a dog is older than 6 months.
We use force-free positive reinforcement methods that are considered current best practice by the Australian Veterinary Association. This ensures your dog will love us and feel confident within our Playgroups.
We do not condone the use of aversive training techniques that utilise punishment, fear, pain or intimidation. We love dogs, that’s why this is our job!
Visit the Contact Us page, email us at email@example.com or call 0410 418 372.
In your message, please tell us your dog’s age and breed, as well as the street and suburb your dog resides in. If we have availability in that local group, we will send you a link to register on our secure online system and organise a time for a meet & greet with a lovely member of our team.
